Collection: Intercoolers

Intercoolers are crucial components in turbocharged or supercharged engine systems that help cool the compressed air before it enters the engine. These heat exchangers are typically mounted in the front of the vehicle & are responsible for reducing the temperature of the pressurized air generated by the forced induction system. By cooling the air, intercoolers increase its density, allowing for more efficient combustion & improved engine performance. Intercoolers are commonly constructed using aluminum or other lightweight materials for efficient heat transfer & durability. They feature a series of fins or tubes through which the compressed air passes, while ambient air flows around them, dissipating heat. The design & size of the intercooler can vary depending on the vehicle's power output & cooling requirements. Upgrading to a larger or more efficient intercooler can lower intake air temperatures, reduce the risk of detonation, & improve overall engine reliability & performance.
