Collection: Mass Air Flow Sensors

Mass air flow (MAF) sensors are essential components of the engine's intake system that measure the amount of air entering the engine. Located between the air filter & the intake manifold, the MAF sensor uses a heated wire or a hot film to detect the airflow passing through it. By measuring the mass of the incoming air, the MAF sensor provides crucial information to the engine control unit (ECU), allowing it to calculate the correct amount of fuel to inject for optimal combustion. This helps maintain proper air-fuel ratio, engine performance, & fuel efficiency. A malfunctioning or dirty MAF sensor can cause various issues, including poor acceleration, reduced power, rough idling, or even engine stalling. Regular cleaning & maintenance of the MAF sensor are important to ensure accurate airflow readings. Additionally, it is crucial to handle the MAF sensor with care as it is a sensitive component. If a faulty MAF sensor is detected, it should be replaced to restore optimal engine performance.
