Collection: Leaf Springs

Leaf springs are a type of suspension system commonly found in trucks, SUVs, & some older car models. They consist of multiple layers of curved metal strips, called leaves, that are stacked on top of each other & attached to the vehicle's frame. The leaf springs provide support & help absorb the shocks & bumps encountered while driving, providing a smoother & more controlled ride. Leaf springs are known for their durability & load-carrying capacity, making them suitable for vehicles that frequently haul heavy loads or tow trailers. The stiffness & load capacity of leaf springs can be adjusted by adding or removing individual leaves or by using thicker or thinner leaves. However, leaf springs can be less adjustable & provide a slightly rougher ride compared to other suspension systems. Despite this, they are still widely used in many commercial & off-road vehicles due to their robustness & ability to handle heavy loads. Regular inspection & maintenance of leaf springs are important to ensure their proper functioning & safety on the road.
