Motor Mounts

Motor mounts, also known as engine mounts or transmission mounts, are essential components that secure the engine & transmission to the vehicle's chassis. Their primary function is to provide support & isolate vibrations produced by the engine & transmission from the rest of the vehicle. Motor mounts are typically made of rubber or polyurethane material & consist of a metal bracket or housing. The rubber or polyurethane material acts as a cushion & absorbs vibrations & shocks generated during engine operation. Motor mounts help to reduce noise, vibration, & harshness (NVH) levels, providing a smoother & more comfortable driving experience. They also help maintain the proper alignment & positioning of the engine & transmission, ensuring efficient power transfer & reducing stress on other components. Over time, motor mounts can wear out or become damaged, leading to increased vibrations, engine movement, & potential damage to surrounding components. Regular inspection & replacement of worn-out motor mounts are important to maintain the overall performance, reliability, & longevity of the vehicle's drivetrain system.
