Oil Pans

Oil pans are essential components of the engine's lubrication system. They are located at the bottom of the engine & serve as reservoirs that hold the engine oil. Oil pans are typically made of steel or aluminum & are designed to withstand the rigors of the road while providing a secure & leak-free container for the oil. They feature a drain plug that allows for easy oil changes & maintenance. Inside the oil pan, there is an oil pickup tube that draws oil from the pan & delivers it to the engine's oil pump. Some oil pans may also have baffles or windage trays to prevent oil sloshing & improve oil control during aggressive driving or racing. Additionally, oil pans may have provisions for oil temperature sensors or aftermarket components such as oil coolers. It is important to choose an oil pan that is compatible with the specific vehicle & engine configuration to ensure proper fitment & function.
