Valve Covers

Engine valve covers, also known as rocker covers, are protective covers that sit on top of the engine cylinder head & enclose the valvetrain components. They are typically made of metal or plastic & serve multiple purposes. Firstly, they provide a barrier to prevent dirt, debris, & moisture from entering the valvetrain area, protecting the internal engine components. Secondly, they help contain the lubricating oil within the engine by sealing the top of the cylinder head. This ensures proper oil circulation & prevents oil leaks. Engine valve covers also play a role in maintaining optimal engine temperature by housing ventilation systems that regulate crankcase pressure & allow gases to escape. Additionally, valve covers often feature aesthetic design elements & may be customized or replaced to enhance the visual appeal of the engine bay. It's important to regularly inspect valve covers for signs of leaks or damage & to ensure that they are properly secured to maintain the integrity of the engine's internal components.
