Valve Train

The valve train is an integral part of a car's engine that controls the intake & exhaust valves. It consists of several components, including the camshaft, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, & valves themselves. The camshaft is responsible for opening & closing the valves at the precise moment to allow air & fuel into the combustion chamber & expel exhaust gases. The lifters transfer the motion from the camshaft to the pushrods, which in turn actuate the rocker arms. The rocker arms then push on the valves to open & close them. The valve train plays a crucial role in the engine's operation, ensuring proper timing & duration of valve events for efficient combustion & power production. It is also subjected to high forces & must be properly lubricated & maintained for reliable performance.
