Collection: Air / Oil Separators

Air / oil separators, also known as catch cans or oil separators, are devices designed to separate oil vapors & contaminants from the crankcase ventilation system. They are typically installed in the engine bay & connected to the engine's PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system. The purpose of an air/oil separator is to prevent oil mist & other pollutants from being recirculated back into the intake system, which can lead to carbon buildup, decreased performance, & potential engine damage. The separator features baffles or filter media that allow the air to pass through while capturing the oil & contaminants. As the air flows through the separator, the oil is collected in a reservoir, while the cleaned air is released back into the atmosphere or redirected into the intake system. Regularly draining & maintaining the air/oil separator is necessary to ensure its proper functioning. Car air/oil separators are popular aftermarket upgrades for performance enthusiasts & can help maintain engine cleanliness, improve throttle response, & prolong the life of the engine.
