CAMMED. BOOSTED. ENGINE-SWAPPED. YOUR BRAKE BOOSTER STILL NEEDS VACUUM.
The Granatelli 410102C 12-Volt Electric Vacuum Pump Kit provides supplemental vacuum for power brake boosters and other vacuum-dependent systems when the engine cannot consistently produce enough manifold vacuum on its own.
Designed for cammed vehicles, turbocharged and supercharged combinations, LS swaps, street rods and custom builds, the system automatically activates when vacuum drops and shuts itself off once the proper vacuum level is restored.

THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES
When Engine Vacuum Drops, Brake Assist Can Drop With It
Cammed engines, forced-induction systems and certain modified engine combinations can reduce or destabilize intake-manifold vacuum—especially at idle. If the brake booster does not receive enough vacuum, pedal feel and power assist can become inconsistent. The Granatelli electric vacuum pump supplies supplemental vacuum independently of engine manifold vacuum.

UNDERSTANDING THE 17–23 inHg RANGE
The Pump Should Be Able to Build and Maintain Vacuum
The 410102C system is designed to operate within approximately 17–23 inHg of vacuum. During normal operation, the pump will cycle as needed to restore vacuum within this range.
If the system cannot reach or maintain the expected vacuum range, the pump itself may not be the cause. A vacuum leak, leaking brake booster, faulty check valve, incorrect hose routing, loose fitting or another vehicle modification can prevent the system from building or holding vacuum properly. The complete vehicle vacuum system should be inspected before assuming the pump is malfunctioning.

MAVP Sensor Control
Granatelli’s MAVP — Manifold Absolute Vacuum/Pressure — sensor monitors system vacuum and controls pump operation without relying on a traditional vacuum-switch-and-relay arrangement. The result is a cleaner, self-regulating installation with less unnecessary wiring.

IMPORTANT VACUUM SYSTEM NOTE
The 410102C is designed to provide supplemental vacuum within approximately 17–23 inHg. If the vehicle cannot reach or hold the expected vacuum level, inspect the brake booster, check valve, vacuum hoses, fittings, routing and any modifications that may introduce a vacuum leak or excessive vacuum demand. The pump is designed to supplement a properly functioning vacuum system—it cannot compensate for a significant leak or failed component.
