The heavier-duty construction of HEDMAN BLACK ELITE Hedders makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, both of which produce higher exhaust temperatures.</p><p>BLACK ELITE models have a SATIN-BLACK ceramic finish that can withstand temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The coating looks great, and keeps more heat in the tubes. This results in faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduced underhood temperatures.</p><p>These MID-LENGTH TUBE headers are designed specifically for installing a Small Block Chevy 283-400 (Gen 1) engine into a 1987-1995 Wrangler (YJ). The smooth 1-1/2 in. tube design provides ample exhaust flow to let your Wrangler's transplanted 283-400 SB Chevy engine breathe easy, and significantly improve torque over factory manifolds.</p><p>Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.</p><p>Hedman Hedders is so confident in the quality of its headers that these headers are factory backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
