Each set uses mild steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your Small Block Chevy exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned.</p><p>This set is part of Hedman's ELITE line of headers. Hedman ELITE headers have a heavy-duty design that uses stout 3/8 in. flanges, and thicker 14 gauge primary tubes. The heavier-duty construction of HEDMAN ELITE Hedders makes them ideal for high-performance engines and tow vehicles, which produce higher exhaust temperatures.</p><p>ELITE models have a MATTE-SILVER ceramic finish that can withstand temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The coating produces faster exhaust speeds for improved exhaust scavenging, and reduces underhood temperatures.</p><p>These LONG-TUBE headers are covered by CARB E.O. (Executive Order) #D167-33, making them 50-State Legal for the vehicles listed on the arb.ca.gov website. They fit a wide range of early to mid-year 2WD and 4WD Chevy Trucks and SUVs, powered by a Small Block Chevy engine.
