Step into modern times with these DOT-approved LED headlights!

These 7" round, white LED headlights offer superior light output and significantly lower power consumption than all standard Halogen H4 lenses. We tested numerous DOT-approved LED headlights, and these two manufacturers were the clear frontrunners. These headlights offer a fantastic beam pattern (with fewer artifacts than some of our other tested units), and have excellent manufacturer warranties. Plus, they are both rated at 100,000 hours, which means they'll likely be the last headlights you purchase for your van.

Options: If you are looking to save some cash, try our GoWesty brand Asian-made headlamps. They are truly excellent quality. However, if you want to support a USA manufacturer, the American-built Peterson brand units are an excellent choice.

Fitment Notes

1968-91 Bus and Vanagon with round headlights: These headlights are a direct "plug-and-play" with the included adapter harness. No wires to cut if you don't want to. The GoWesty option is fitted with a high-quality, totally sealed 3-pin plug shrinkable butt connector system that you can hard-wire in with if you wish to for a 100% fully sealed headlight plug connection (highly recommended).

1980-91 Vanagon with rectangular headlights: These headlights require a  Round Headlight Grille and 7" Round Headlight Mounting Brackets.  The GoWesty version contains all the wiring needed for a complete, totally sealed, hard-wired connection. The Peterson version also requires an H4 Headlight Wiring Adapter Harness Kit for a partially sealed, hard-wired connection.

1980-91 Vanagon with South African 4-Headlight Grille Kit: These headlights are a direct "plug-and-play" fit for the outer lights. You still need the inner lights.
