Installation Tips

Tip #1: A tiny roll pin holds the lock cylinder in place in the front door handle. This pin can be hammered out (gently) to remove your old lock cylinder from the handle—just be sure to reinstall the roll pin when you install the new cylinder. To re-key this cylinder to your current key, please take this cylinder to a locksmith for correct replacment of the tumblers.

Tip #2: We recommend lubricating the new cylinder with a dry Teflon lube or graphite powder.
