Steering Shaft Coupler Disc

The linkage that connects the steering wheel to the steering rack is a v-shaped system made up of steering shafts, shaft flanges, flexible rubber coupling discs, and u-joints. Over time, the rubber discs can wear out, and introduce slop into the system. So, if your steering wheel moves side-to-side a bit before the van begins to steer, the rubber discs are the first parts to look at. Luckily, the parts are readily available, and changing them is quite easy.
