FAQ – TR Roll Center Adjusters (BRZ/FR-S/86)
Q: How much correction do the TR Roll Center Adjusters provide?
They restore the front roll center by about 30–40 mm, which is ideal for cars lowered around 1.2–1.6 inches (30–40 mm). This helps reduce body roll and improve cornering grip.
Q: Will these work with my AP Racing / Essex Sprint Big Brake Kit?
Not directly. The extended ball joint design can hit the rotor hat on certain big brake kits, especially the AP Racing Sprint/Competition kits. This is a known clearance issue.
Q: What are my options if I already have a BBK?
-
Use stock ball joints (no roll center correction, but safe with your BBK).
-
Add bump-steer tie rods if you’re lowered 30 mm+ for better steering.
-
Consider aftermarket LCAs that have more clearance around big brake kits.
-
Check with your BBK manufacturer for alternate hats or clearance options.
Q: What if I’m not running a BBK?
Then you’re fine. The TR Roll Center Adjusters will work as intended on a lowered BRZ/FR-S/86 without interference.
